We Are Autism Inc., in partnership with the Pan African Historical Museum USA (PAHMUSA), invites children and youth ages 3–18 to share their creativity and voice through our Voices of the Spectrum: See Me, Understand Me sensory-friendly community art showcase.
This inclusive exhibit celebrates the perspectives, talents, and lived experiences of children on the autism spectrum. Through art, children are given a platform to express how they see and experience the world—helping families and communities grow in understanding, acceptance, and connection.
Children may submit drawings, paintings, photographs, poems, or mixed-media creations. A formal autism diagnosis is not required to participate.
Selected artwork will be displayed inside the Pan African Historical Museum throughout April, honoring Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month. Participating children will receive recognition, a certificate of participation, and a small appreciation gift.
📅 Art Submission Deadline: March 20, 2026📅 Exhibit & Community Event: April 11, 2026👉 Register your child to participate here: Register Now
Winvite families, educators, and community members to encourage children to participate and help amplify autistic voices through creativity and expression.

As part of our Voices of the Spectrum: See Me, Understand Me initiative, We Are Autism Inc., in partnership with the Pan African Historical Museum USA (PAHMUSA), is collecting new sensory and support items to benefit autistic children, their families, and local schools.
Through this community drive, donated items will be assembled into sensory support baskets and shared with participating families and schools at our upcoming event. These resources help children with autism regulate, learn, and feel supported both at home and in the classroom.
We invite our community to join us in creating a more inclusive and understanding world—one child, one family, and one act of support at a time.
📦 We are currently collecting new sensory and support items through March 22, 2026.You can view the full list of needed items below or support the drive through our registry.
Together, we can help children on the spectrum feel seen, supported, and understood.
For many children on the autism spectrum, communication does not always happen through spoken words. Art becomes a voice, a way to express thoughts, emotions, experiences, and identity in a space where children feel safe and understood. Voices of the Spectrum was created to honor that voice and to provide children with an opportunity to be seen for who they are, not who the world expects them to be.
This event is more than an art showcase. It is a space for understanding, connection, and reflection. Too often, conversations about autism happen around children rather than with them. By centering the artwork of autistic children, this showcase allows their creativity to speak for itself and invites the community to listen in a meaningful way.
Each piece of art tells a story. It reflects how a child experiences the world, what brings them joy, how they express emotion, and how they see themselves. Displaying these works in a museum setting sends a powerful message that autistic voices matter and deserve to be recognized, respected, and celebrated.
Art has the unique ability to build understanding without requiring explanation. When community members engage with children’s artwork, they are invited to slow down, observe, and experience autism through a child’s perspective. This creates empathy, challenges assumptions, and helps move conversations beyond stereotypes toward genuine understanding.
Voices of the Spectrum was intentionally designed as an inclusive, sensory-aware experience. Many families of autistic children are often excluded from public events due to sensory overload or lack of accommodations. This event creates a calm, welcoming environment where children and families can participate without fear of judgment, allowing them to feel supported and included.
For the children who participate, this experience builds confidence, pride, and a sense of belonging. For families, it offers connection, community, and reassurance that they are not alone. For the broader community, it is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow.
Inclusion is not just about access, it is about belonging. Voices of the Spectrum represents a step toward a more inclusive community where autistic children are seen, understood, and celebrated for who they are. Supporting this event means supporting a future rooted in acceptance, dignity, and hope.

At our Jamaica outreach event, children were given the opportunity to participate in creative activities, play, and shared experiences alongside their peers. These moments reflect the importance of inclusive spaces where children feel safe to express themselves, build confidence, and simply be children.
At We Are Autism, we believe meaningful support starts with access, understanding, and environments that honor every child’s individuality.

We Are Autism had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a community fundraiser event in Springfield, Massachusetts. This event allowed us to showcase our mission, connect with families, and raise funds for our upcoming We Are Autism Community Awareness & Support Event in Jamaica 2025.
Our table featured custom tumblers, awareness merchandise, and beautifully crafted raffle baskets—all created to support children and families on the autism spectrum. It was an uplifting day filled with conversations, education, and community support. Every person who stopped by, donated, or shared encouragement played a meaningful role in helping us bring hope and resources to families in Jamaica next year.
This event is one of many steps toward building stronger, more inclusive communities both in the U.S. and abroad.
Our Jamaica outreach highlighted a critical reality: adults with disabilities are frequently underserved and overlooked. At We Are Autism, we believe support, education, and community must extend beyond childhood and continue throughout adulthood.
This gathering strengthened our resolve to advocate for inclusive spaces, meaningful engagement, and sustained support for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers—at every stage of life
